Happy Farmer First | Meet the Machinist, Abbas

This Farmer First we’re mixing things up and introducing you to Abbas, a young machinist who had just started working with our partners in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.

Forehead shining with sweat, Abbas set his welding torch down and tugged off his gloves, stepping forward to shake our hands.

"I came here a couple months ago after hearing the work and pay were good. I've worked metal for a few years, but finding a consistent job that you can really rely on isn't easy here," Abbas explained. "The work is good, but wow the summers are hot! I'm used to it, though."

He said this all while beaming that smile you see him pictured with. We’re passionate about serving farmers, which is why we introduce you to so many, but we also want you to glimpse the other professionals you’re supporting around the world: technicians, accountants, managers, machinists, engineers, and much more—thank you for giving people hope and opportunity right where they live!
