  • Justin Carney - Executive Director

    Justin has over fifteen years of international agriculture business experience in creative access markets. He has worked locally and internationally, both with small share farmers in rural Kurdish villages and advising Ministers and advisory counsels on Iraq's national food security and policy reform. Mr. Carney has held management positions in non-profits, oil and gas, agriculture development, and processing companies. He lives with his family in Kansas City.

  • Kevin Stark - Board President

    Kevin recently completed a 30 year career with Land O’ Lakes where he held various sales management and strategy development positions. Currently he is one of the partners in a 4,000-acre farming operation focused on corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle production. Kevin and his wife Cristin live in Fort Scott Kansas and have three boys whom are all out of the home and four very special grandchildren.

  • Abby Elliott - Director of Operations

    Abby has over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry where she managed teams, built and executed strategy for sales and service processes, and coordinated events. She has also spent the past several years volunteering with local organizations to work in cross-cultural communities by using her administrative talents to support those going to the most unreached. She currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband and son.

  • Matt Willingham - Director of Partnered Relations

    Matt is a veteran writer, photographer, and brand manager with 15 years experience, most of it living and working in some of the hardest-hit conflict zones in the world. Born into a Texas cattle family, Matt and his wife moved abroad after college and ended up neighbors with Justin Carney in Iraq. Now settled in San Diego with his wife, Cayla, and their three kids, Matt is thrilled to support AgGrandize’s work promoting food security and Kingdom efforts in the developing world.

  • Adam Castro - Director of Communications

    Adam has spent the majority of his career in marketing & advertising supporting global healthcare, veterinary & financial brands in various communications and management roles. He has a passion for sustainability and loves to hear and tell stories of people empowered to make a difference for themselves and their families through better access to resources. He lives in Kansas City with his wife and three kids.

  • Christian Rath - Sr. Advisor & Africa Lead

    Christian recently completed a 30 year career as senior executive in various industries, spanning from specialty chemicals (launching the Tide Pods) to food processing (Griffith Foods). A traveler, Christian visited and/or worked in 100+ countries. His global perspective, along with his engineering degree and his experience in multiple fields are paired with the passion in serving, helping, leading and mentoring others. He is a tent-maker, a follower of Christ and a Kingdom impact champion. Christian and his wife, Cristina, live in Crown Point, IN and have one son, serving as a US Navy officer and pilot.

  • Stephen Maier - Board of Directors, Central Asia Lead

    Stephen spent the last 10 years in vision-driven, early-stage agribusinesses. He's been privileged to help lead feed and genetics companies in Central Asia, and more recently has been busy launching and scaling the livestock feed business for an AgTech startup. Today, Stephen and his family live in Northwest Iowa where they operate the family row-crop farm and he serves as our Central Asia team lead.

  • Andrew Hoelscher - Board of Directors, Mentor Lead

    Andrew is the founder of Farm Strategy, helping to develop supply chains and connect end users with farmers. He brings that experience to bear both professionally and for AgG in two key ways: 1) By conveying proper demand signals to growers to incentivize proper production practices, placing a "burden of innovation" on the grower and 2) by conveying the potential that the farmers has to solve the problems end users suffer. In short, Andrew is a passionate connector of people and loves to help strengthen supply chains in some of the toughest regions of the world.

  • Liz Vircks - Board of Directors

    Liz has more than twelve years’ experience delivering results within the agricultural sector. Throughout her time with global industry-leading organizations, she has served in numerous capacities including product management, sales, and international business development. Ms. Vircks excels in creating tailored solutions to downstream partners by connecting farmers to new market opportunities.

  • James Noronha, Board Secretary

    James comes from an international business job, having managed a manufacturing company with factories in the US and Romania. He studied language in the Middle East, served as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps, and studied Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University. He has experience managing startup investments throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. He and his wife, Michaela, live in New England and recently welcomed a baby boy, Caleb, to their family.

  • John Wallbrown - Board of Directors, Treasurer

    John has nearly 40 years’ experience across the areas of his family’s business, Deerfield Ag Services, an agronomic supply company with 4 grain elevators. He has worked in several areas, from offering great customer service to building and designing grain systems, and he now serves as CFO. He is also a partner in a 3800 acre farm that grows corn, soybeans, and wheat. He has lived overseas as part of startup teams for new business projects, and now resides with his family in Deerfield, Ohio

  • David Goodyear - Board of Directors, Chaplain

    David began his career as a field medic in the Marine Corps, and had a 40 year career in emergency medicine. He worked as a field paramedic, managed a department, and established a palliative care team. He volunteered in an inner city medical clinic, assisted with disaster response in Haiti, and helped establish a service to widows and orphans in Kenya. He has been married to his wife Gretchen for 46 years, and has three children and six grandchildren.

  • Wes Johnson - Board of Directors

    Wes taught high school Vocational Agriculture and was an FFA Advisor in Iowa for eight years. He then relocated to Kansas City and has held sales positions with animal health companies for the past 30 years. He and his wife, Chris, own a small farm in Missouri which they cash rent. They have two married daughters and six grandchildren.
