Men Find Hope At Ag Rehab Center

Isn’t it beautiful how God uses farming and the natural world to speak and relate to us?

We’ve witnessed some incredible transformation through agriculture over the years, and our friend Sergey’s ‘ag rehab’ farming co-op is one we celebrate.

On a farm outside the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, men are finding Kingdom hope through simple, honest work as they struggle to overcome addictions and rebuild their life.

“We’ve seen how addiction and being disconnected from nature, from honest work go hand-in-hand,” said our host, Sergey. “These men have chosen to get sober and they’re given pay, room, and board to work and live here.”

While living on the farm, the men follow a strict set of rules they agree to on day one and spend much of their time together.

Reconnecting with nature and the land is a powerful way to heal. No surprise there, as we believe God moulded us from the earth; we are connected to creation and, whether hunting, hiking, pulling weeds or sowing seeds, we can find renewal out in God’s good world.

Thank you for supporting restorative work like this in unreached parts of the world!
