Zambian Ag Students Battle Hen House Predator
On a visit to our partners in Zambia, Hamara Heartlands, and their beautiful discipleship and agricultural training school called Ebenezer Matabo, we noticed some of the students swatting and throwing rocks at something in the main hen house.
When they pulled the limp cobra out, we all assumed it was dead...until it leapt up and tried to bite the young man holding it!
Wild encounter, and a stark reminder of the kinds of things these students are training to deal with before becoming self-sufficient farmers working their own land.
The Ebenezer Matabo School has limited space, and each year they turn away many applicants. Some graduates are invited to work for Heartlands, our largest and highest impact portfolio partner (made possible by C Fund investors)
Thanks for supporting these young people as they raise and grow food for their communities!
