Good News From Central Asia!

If you’ve been following the situation in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for the past year, you’ll know our partners’ booming feed operation is weathering a lengthy, confusing, and sudden tax levied against them.

The initial fine was for $1.5 million, a staggering amount that no government official was able to fully explain or justify. The tax would have meant shutting down operations, and we asked you all to pray God would intervene, send us the right people and give us patience and grace as we work through it all…and your prayers have been answered!

We have seen and known God’s presence at every step, even as the corruption and unreasonably high fine seemed likely to shut us down.

Impact investors who helped this mill grow 10x through C Fund impact investing wasn’t just lucky.

Befriending the Kyrgyz Minister of Ag wasn’t just some random, happy accident.

The friendships we made with Kyrgyz leaders and officials throughout the process, and the opportunity to clarify tax laws and push for greater accountability and justice in their systems, wasn’t just a perk.

All of this is God’s grace. We wait and work, patiently trusting one step at a time, and we’re glad to report that the feed mill is running at 90% capacity!

Business is good. Thank you for your support and encouragement along the way, we are so grateful.
